The core is the body’s powerhouse. It is made up of deep muscles forming a supportive corset around the torso. Doing pilates teaches you to engage the core while strengthening it, which in turn makes the entire body stronger.
PROPER POSTURAL ALIGNMENT
Doing pilates develops good posture as well as good joint placement and alignment. When the body is in good alignment, the muscles are also balanced in strength and flexibility. You move better. You can enjoy an active lifestyle with little to no aches and pains in the body.
LOW IMPACT FLEXIBILITY
Stability in pilates does not mean rigidity. In fact, it’s about movement. Pilates strengthens the deep, stabilizer muscles of the body to work in cooperation with the big muscles, enabling you to move with balance and control.
Pilates builds strong muscles that are also flexible and resilient. It emphasizes working against resistance, which works the muscles harder even as they lengthen. The result is muscles without the tightness, with a larger range of motion.
Choose Your Classes and Start Your Training
Before Pilates, I had chronic back pain. It’s been 7 years since practicing pilates and it has given me a very strong connection of my mind and body.
The exercises help me strengthen my core as well as improve my posture which is important as I age.
The exercises look simple but it takes whole body connection and mindfulness to be able to perform them successfully.

I started having my spinal injury during 2017. I went through a lot of western medicine like acupuncture, chiropractor and other rehab facilities. Somebody recommended pilates to me and after 3 years of pilates, I think this was one of my most successful attempt in healing.
